We help foreign companies and traders establish and increase business in Canada. We help them find markets and source raw materials. Hanam Canada holds extensive mineral and coal tenures in British Columbia and has helped attract participants and investors to Canadian mining projects. We have also assisted in acquiring and moving surplus process plants from North America to Asia and South America. Recent clients are located in Ottawa, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco,

Main business lines:  | Used process plant sales and engineering services- Current projects include the design of coal beneficiation and mineral processing plants. Other projects include the supply of used DB Western formaldehyde plants to clients in China and Columbia. We also helped move a Haldor Topsoe designed formaldehyde plant from Greece to Egypt. We have also made proposals for relocating methanol plants from Canada and the US to Asia. We have obtained technology from Japan for the Sagami Process of converting syngas to ethanol that halves the cost of producing ethanol by fermentation of corn and grain. | | Coal marketing, process technology, and mine development- We have invested in a project to restart the historic Suquash Coal Mine near Port Hardy, BC. We have helped a Chinese company gain coking coal properties and start to set up a mine in northeast BC. We hold the Naskeena Anthracite Tenures near the Port of Prince Rupert and are seeking to attract participants to a small scale anthracite mine. | | Sand, gravel, and aggregate marketing and pit development- We are the leading consultant to gravel pit developers on the west coast of North America. We have visited all the ready mix concrete plants near the coast and have an extensive data base of market demand, pricing and buyer needs. We have visited all the gravel loading and unloading sites on the coast and have a thorough knowledge of transportation methods, opportunities, and costs. | | Magnesium, copper and gold mine development- We hold title to the Anzac Magnesium Property and the Sunro Copper and Gold Mine and are seeking participation of Canadian and foreign mining companies. | | Iron- We hold title to two magnetite properties in BC. We have completed market studies for scrap steel and have been involved in scrap acquisition and marketing for Korean and Chinese buyers. We have also carried out preliminary designs and feasibility studies for a direct reduced iron plant in BC using Japanese technology. | | Phosphate rock mine development- We are seeking participation in the Alexander Phosphate Rock Mine near Pincher Creek, Alberta. | | Transportation of bulk and containerized products- Our series of consulting studies for Transport Canada and private sector clients have given us a comprehensive data base of containerized exports of forest products, grains, other food crops and mine concentrates. We have visited all the ports on the west coast of North America and many in China, Japan and Korea.
